Due to its location near the South Pole, there are approximately eighteen hours of light in summer, while in winter just seven or eight hours. In winter, the snowy landscape changes its appearance and the days are generally clear and bright. There are several ski resorts for skiing line, and at the Cerro Castor you can practice downhill skiing.
Summer allows adventure tourism activities like trekking, horseback riding, mountain biking, fishing and the most spectacular catamaran trips through the Beagle Channel, and even Antarctica Argentina. In this season, many cruises arrive at Ushuaia bringing many tourists groups, eager to visit all these attractions.
The city has a very good infrastructure of hotels and restaurants, where you can taste the traditional Fuegian crab, black hake, pollock and sea bream, delicious seafood, as well as the Patagonian lamb to the cross.
